Fotochrome Design is a media production firm based in Richmond, Virginia specializing in video production, animation, motion graphics, and 3d rendering.
We are here because we love art, music, and movies. We live to produce video work that stands the test of time and creates moments of inspiration. Good production almost disappears and leaves the viewer with a feeling or a memory. We are most gratified when our work connects with the audience and makes them feel something.
Our professional focus is video and animation but we strive for a holistic approach to life and creativity. Whether it’s building out our studio or cooking and sharing a meal, we love creating things with integrity.

Formed first as a creative outlet, Fotochrome was founded by Jack Roebuck and Will Paxton in 2016. After some viral success on volunteer/art projects Fotochrome was formed in earnest and after a few educational years and many long nights in the studio… we are still here, doing what we love!
Since our founding we have produced video and animations for a broad range of clients from museums, schools, and artists to corporate and tech organizations.
Fotochrome started because we wanted to do work we felt was creative and true and it has led us to work with a lot of amazing people over the years. Our excitement for what we do has compounded alongside our abilities and resources. We are thankful to everyone who has supported our studio along the way and we're excited for our next collaboration!
We are here because we love art, music, and movies.
