Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Another busy year in the books! We always like to look back on the past twelve months at this time and think about all of the great people we have worked with. Here are just a few projects from last year. We would love to hear what people have been up to as well!

Let’s have a coffee and catch up.

Lets Talk on Pathways

We all know how tedious winning state bids can be. We were thrilled to win a contract with the Augusta County Pathways Program at the beginning of the year. Augusta county, like most rural areas, is dealing with a terrible drug plight. The attornies and law enforcement in the area saw the same repeat offenders going through the system, harming themselves and the community at large. The Augusta County Commonwealth’s Attorny’s office created this program to put a stop to that cycle of damage and the program has already helped a number of people avoid jail and get their lives moving in a healthy direction.

We worked with Program Director Jack Belcher and Asst. Commonwealth Attorney Caleb Kramer to produce video materials to inform the public about the program, educate law enforcement about this unique tool in their tool belt, and to let anyone in need of help know there was a way out of harmful cycles.

Elevating the corporate video, with Lewis Media

Firstly, we pulled out all the stops when lighting and setting up portraits (We got some great gaffing help from Jake Pulliam at Bridge Studio). The team at Lewis Media is sharp and excited to dig into projects. The portraits from the project really highlight the team’s energy and give you a sense that your media strategy is in good hands.

Our second creative approach was to mirror graphics from the website in animations that expand on the methods and strategies that keep the Lewis Media team at the forefront of their field.

When it all came together we got an engaging piece that speaks to the quality of work Lewis Media Produces.

Watch the Video

It’s easy for corporate video to drag. Many businesses sell strategies, technology, and know-how that can be tricky to visualize. When working with Lewis Media we combined two approaches to illustrate how successful they have been.

Really Clean Streets started as Really Good Equipment, a leaf collection truck manufacturer when they identified a serious need for their clients (primarily Cities and Counties). Localities were providing leaf collection services but when stacked with all of the local government’s other responsibilities, leaf clean up was often a mess and created headaches for citizens as well as problems for infrastructure.

By producing top of the line equipment in-house and then running a leaf clean up program with the focus required, Really Clean Streets has created a business model that saves their clients a lot of money while having happier citizens and better results. Win, win, win.

We had a great time producing some videos for them and working with their amazing team.

The Things That Inspire: Painting - Travel

As we are always harping, we got into this game thanks to passion. It can be hard to both keep the lights on and the passion alive. We try to be intentional in finding ways to spark our creative minds and keep the passion burning. We want to instill every project with that spirit, but you can’t give endlessly without finding ways to recharge your curiosity and drive.

For Will that has been painting. Jack finds inspiration in traveling the world and exploring new places. Whatever it is, if we lose touch of that passion we may as well get jobs at big companies and make more money for frankly less stress. Luckily we still got it going strong and we always want to help spark that excitement for our clients.

It’s easy to get into the mindset of knocking things off of the to-do list but we try to see the opportunity latent within every project. Life is just more fun that way!

Here are some pics from the things that inspire us.
